AMSE 2026 offers you the following publication options:
- an entry in the book of abstracts (with an assigned ISBN, available online and published in print),
- a paper in an edited volume published in FENStatS Series in Statistics and Data Science published by Springer Nature,
- a paper in one of five peer-reviewed journals collaborating with AMSE:
Active conference participation requires an abstract, which will later be included in the book of abstracts. Both active and passive conference participants may decide to submit a paper for the edited volume in FENStatS Series in Statistics and Data Science or one of the collaborating journals granted that it is in compliance with its thematic orientation and passes the prescribed double-blind review process. Submission of a paper for the edited volume or a collaborating journal is in no violation with submission of an abstract, and it is at the discretion of the participant whether he decides to keep the title intact and the formulation of the abstract similar. The conference participant may decide to submit papers for both the edited volume or a collaborating journal if they make different and sufficiently marked contributions to the advancement of mathematical and statistical methods in applied economics or in similar areas of science. In such a case, the conference participant bears all the responsibility for the originality and integrity of research, and the Scientific Committee of AMSE 2026 or the conference organizers cannot make held accountable for possible ethical misconduct.
Active conference participation or a submitted paper must be thematically related to applications of mathematics and statistics in economics and should be associated with at least one of the following areas:
- macroeconomics, public economics, and methodological issues of economics,
- social economics, economic sustainability, and demographic economics,
- microeconomic issues,
- financial markets, risk measurement, and insurance,
- multidimensional statistics in economics.
Abstracts and papers must be written fully in good scientific English. In case the author feels less certainty with English, it is advisable to use AI tools to polish the text into readable and presentable shape.
Active or passive conference participation
All participants must register via the regisration form, regardless of whether they are active or passive participants.
- Active participants are expected to deliver a presentation, which requires submitting an abstract.
- Passive participants attend the conference without giving a presentation, but may still be co‑authors of an abstract or a paper under the publication options.
Abstracts associated with active conference participation
There are several requirements for abstracts to be included in the book of abstracts:
- The abstract must identify all authors and their details (with full author names, including diacritics, their affiliations and e-mail addresses),
- The abstract must have at least one author who actively participates and delivers a presentation at AMSE 2026.
- The abstract must include a title of at most 200 characters long.
- The abstract must include an abstract between 125 and 200 words.
- It is advisable to declare the funding, but only project codes and numbers will be included.
Inclusion of abstracts into the book of abstracts is contingent on the approval by the Scientific Committee of AMSE 2026. Instructions for abstract submission and further guidelines are currently in preparation, and will be added here soon.
Papers for the FENStatS volume
Papers submitted to the edited volume in FENStatS Series in Statistics and Data Science must comply with several requirements.
- The paper must identify all authors and their details (with full author names, including diacritics, their affiliations and e-mail addresses), with one author indicated as corresponding.
- The paper must have a title of at most 200 characters long, and an abstract of 125 – 200 words, including 3 – 6 keywords.
- The paper must range from 6 to 8 pages in total (including abstract, keywords, tables, figures and references).
- The paper must comply with the required paper template.
Guidelines such as K. D. Lafferty, Writing a scientific paper, step by painful step, may be useful. Furthermore, the introduction and conclusion must clearly identify the addition of the researched topic to statistics, mathematics and economics. It is recommended to suppress unnecessary generally known mathematical formulas and concentrate on the merits of the paper. Papers will undergo a double-blind review process, and publication in the volume is contingent on the success of the review process. Instructions for paper submission and further guidelines are currently in preparation, and will be added here.
FENStatS Series in Statistics and Data Science is a publication series designed to disseminate high-quality statistical and data science research. Launched by the Federation of European National Statistical Societies (FENStatS) and published by Springer Nature, it aims to achieve this by:
- covering selected papers from statistical meetings (peer-reviewed papers presented at conferences and events organized by FENStatS and its members),
- featuring research monographs (in-depth research monographs authored by any member of FENStatS societies),
- including official statistics books.
FENStatS Series in Statistics and Data Science serves as a significant avenue for promoting statistical research, fostering collaboration, and disseminating knowledge among the European statistical community and beyond. More information is provided on the dedicated Springer web site.
Papers for the collaborating journals
If you choose to submit to one of the collaborating journals, you must follow that journal’s own guidelines and submission procedures; review management and oversight are handled by the journal and not by the AMSE 2026 Scientific Committee. At submission, you must indicate that the paper is submitted in connection with participation at AMSE 2026
