The conference aims to acquaint its participants with the latest mathematical and statistical methods that can be used in solving theoretical and practical problems and challenges of economics. The conference gives a unique chance to present research results achieved in the area where mathematics and statistics border with economics.

This year, the conference will take place in Nižná, Slovakia from 28 Aug 2019 to 1 Sept 2019. The conference starts with a welcome drink on Wednesday, 28 Aug 2019. The next two days are reserved for the presentation of conference papers. Friday afternoon and Saturday are reserved to social program.

There are possibilities of a trips in NIžná and the nearby surroundings – Friday’s afternoon Guided tour to the Orava castle and full-day walking trip to the Roháče mountains on Saturday, 31 August 2019. The conference closes on Sunday morning, 1 Sept 2019.


Papers should be thematically related to applications of mathematics and statistics in economics and should fall in one of the following sections:

  • Macroeconomics, Public Economics and Methodological Issues of Economics
  • Social Economics, Economic Sustainability and Demographic Economics
  • Microeconomic Issues
  • Financial Markets, Risk Measurement and Insurance
  • Multidimensional Statistics in Economics


The papers presented at the conference must go through a blind peer review process in order to qualify for inclusion into the conference proceedings. The papers will be reviewed prior to being presented at the conference, but it is expected that the discussion at the conference during their presentation will give rise to new insights and may provide a number of recommendations to improve the quality of the papers. Therefore, the authors before final submitting their papers are given a chance to make small revision in line with the discussion remarks and comments.

  • 1st February – Abstract and registration of participants (including co-authors)
  • 15th February – Notification of abstract acceptation
  • 22nd March – Paper submission
  • 26th April – Notification of review process results
  • 24th May – Revised paper submission
  • 14th June – Final acceptation of the paper
  • 21st June – Conference fee payment deadline
  • 28th August – 1st September – Conference days


The positively reviewed conference proceedings will be added after some editorial preparation.

Papers presented at the conference will be published in the book of proceedings that will be sent to Clarivate Analytics to be considered for inclusion into the Conference Proceedings Citation Index.


There are three kinds of participation at the conference:

  • active participation with a presentation of the paper that will be included in the proceedings,
  • active participation with a presentation of the paper that will not be included in the proceedings,
  • passive participation without a presentation.

The presentation of the paper is a condition for including the paper in the conference proceedings.
